Body And Neck

Just looking at this stylish but subtle guitar is enough to judge its high quality – the craftsmanship is flawless, and a testament to Cordoba’s reputation. With a classical no-cutaway body shape, and a 25.6” scale length, the guitar sports a solid quarter-sawn Canadian cedar top with Spanish bracing, and a high gloss polyurethane finish. This top is fixed to the solid Indian rosewood back and sides with a rosewood binding and braided purfling, for well-defined and elegant detailing. The traditional neck of the Solista is made of a highly-glossed Spanish cedar and joined to the guitar at the 12th fret with a dovetail joint. It features a smooth ebony fingerboard, with a nut width of 2.04” and 19 frets, with no inlays. You can’t fault the look and build quality of this exqusite classical guitar.

Hardware

At the top of the neck you’ll find a beautiful hand-carved headstock with no branding, which houses six Cordoba premium gold tuners, with super stylish black ebony buttons. These are smooth to use and provide good tuning stability. The bridge of the guitar is made from Indian rosewood, and houses a bone saddle, with a matching bone nut at the top. The Solista also ships with quality Savarez strings, and a hardshell case – a HumiCase Protege, which is incredibly rugged with a plush interior, and features a built-in humidification system, for optimal storage of your Cordoba.

Sound

The choice of materials and expert construction give this Solista a complex and rich tone. The rosewood provides it with a robust voice, while the Canadian cedar top produces a warm and melodic tone, which remains well-balanced. It’s overall very articulate, with crisp trebles and deep basses. You have to open your wallet quite wide for this Spanish-made Solista, but you certainly pay for quality.
