OneOdio Studio Pro-10 Review – Budget Headphones with Huge Versatility

While OneOdio (also known as OneAudio) isn’t a brand that’s particularly well known, it has recently been given a lot of attention thanks to its Studio Pro-10 headphones. This budget pair of headphones is a very popular closed-back set, promising style, comfort, durability and great sound quality. All at under $50?! The big question is, does it deliver on these promises?

Design

The Studio Pro-10s have a useful foldable design, allowing for simpler storage and transportation. This is complemented by the ear cups, which rotate both left and right for single-ear monitoring. These ear cups are closed back with ample padding and a leatherette covering – comfortable to wear, although the do feel quite snug. It’s also a shame that they are round instead of oval. But overall, they feel easy to use and offer more in the way of convenience than some others in the budget market. As aesthetics go, the Studio Pro-10s certainly look the part. Sure, they lack a premium design (and, at under $50, this is very acceptable) and the materials are quite cheap, but it is an all-round stylish pair, featuring matte black plastic and chrome, as well as red stitching. The large OneOdio imprint in the headband may not be to everybody’s taste, but it’s not too much of a drawback.

Features

Tech-wise, the Studio Pro-10s are solid. They offer a standard 50mm neodymium driver, with a good frequency response of 20Hz-20KHz, while there is an impedance of 32 ohms, so not much power is needed to drive them. One of the most interesting features at this low price is the fact that the Pro-1 comes with two detachable spring cables (one red, one black) with both an 1/8” and 1/4” plug, allowing you to plug into anything you want. These innovative cables stretch to just under 3 meters, with the black one featuring a built-in mic.

Performance

In addition to being convenient and quite comfortable, the sound quality is overall fantastic for such an affordable pair of headphones. It’s not a premium sound, but very comparable to headphones in higher price categories in terms of quality. There is a hefty punch of bass on offer, although not so powerful that it drowns out the mids and trebles, which remain very clear. Ultimately, the OneOdio Studio Pro-10s didn’t have great expectations surrounding them, but they have arrived on the scene with a very positive response from both casual and professional users.
